A.G. Schneiderman Details Actions Against Gas Stations That Engaged In Hurricane Sandy Price Gouging

As part of an ongoing probe of high gasoline prices in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Attorney General Schneiderman announced his lawsuits against four service stations for violations of the New York State Price Gouging statute as well as monetary settlements with 25 other service stations. The Attorney General was joined by State Senator Brad M. Hoylman, Assembly Member Brian P. Kavanagh, New York City Council Member Daniel R. Garodnick, Commissioner David Yassky of the Taxi & Limousine Commission, and Cira Angeles of Livery Base Owners Association.
