Does the Litigation Bureau represent New York residents in lawsuits?
No. Under state statute, the Litigation Bureau represents New York State and State agencies and officials in litigation when formally requested to do so by those agencies and officials, and subject to applicable law.
How can I get a lawyer?

How do I serve the Attorney General with a lawsuit?
In Albany, the Attorney General may be served with personal service in the second floor of the Justice building. In New York City, the Attorney General may be served at 120 Broadway, 24th floor. There are signs at both locations directing you to the correct offices.
