Attorney General-elect Andrew Cuomo today at midnight took an oath of office and became the state’s 64th attorney general. Following a visit to Governor-elect Spitzer at the Executive Mansion, Cuomo proceeded to the Attorney General’s office in the state capitol where New York Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye presided over a swearing-in ceremony attended by Cuomo’s family, including his three daughters, Governor and Mrs. Mario Cuomo, other family members and close friends. Attorney General Cuomo will join Governor Spitzer and Lieutenant Governor David Paterson later today at 1:00 PM at the public state inauguration ceremony.
