Pitzer Unveils Public Safety Calendar Web Page
Attorney General Spitzer announced today that he has expanded his office's web-site by establishing a Public Safety Calendar web page to assist neighborhood watch programs and community-based groups promote upcoming conferences, workshops, and special events.
"Grass roots organizations such as Block Patrol and Neighborhood Watch build strong bonds," said Spitzer. "The more information local groups share, the stronger they will be collectively and the greater their success in deterring crime. In addition, the calendar will provide additional linkages for local, regional, and statewide feed back."
The web-page, which will be maintained and edited by Spitzer's office, is designed to provide community groups with the ability to conduct broad-based outreach, provide a statewide information exchange, and facilitate collaboration and commemoration among community activists and the public-at-large.
The listings, which will be presented in block calendar style, will be posted on a space available basis. Material may be submitted by accessing Attorney General Spitzer's website at: www.ag.ny.gov or by contacting the Attorney General's toll-free help line at:
(800) 771-7755.
