Statement From A.G. Schneiderman On Human Trafficking Awareness Day
|
ALBANY -- Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman today issued the following statement in commemoration of Human Trafficking Awareness Day: “We must redouble our commitment to rooting out the horrors of human trafficking in New York State and beyond our borders. In the months ahead, I look forward to working closely with my colleagues in government, in not-for-profits, and in the private sector, to continue to improve our laws, and bring creativity and energy to an area of criminal activity that too many have deemed impossible to attack or prevent. Through commitment and collaboration, we will improve the lives of the disenfranchised desperately in need of protection.” To report a potential human trafficking matter, please contact the New York Attorney General’s Office at: human.trafficking@ag.ny.gov or contact the National Human Trafficking Resource Center, a national hotline at: 1-888-373-7888. |
