Statement From A.G. Schneiderman On The Passing Of Court Of Appeals Associate Judge Theodore Jones

 

NEW YORK- Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman today released the following statement in response to the passing of State Court of Appeals Associate Judge Theodore Jones:

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Judge Theodore Jones. New York State has lost a jurist of keen intellect and profound compassion. During his many years of service on the bench, Judge Jones was a model of fairness, justice and legal excellence. In particular, his work co-chairing the Justice Task Force to examine and help prevent the causes of wrongful convictions was exceptional – it reflected a profound commitment to improving our state’s criminal justice system. I offer my sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.”
