Statement From Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo In Response To The Report Of Entergy's Paid "independent Safety Evaluation" Panel

“It’s no surprise that Entergy’s panel of paid consultants has turned a blind eye to the unacceptable risks posed by Indian Point,” said Attorney General Cuomo. “It’s not in Entergy’s corporate self-interest to recognize the threats that are obvious to ordinary New Yorkers. The aging Indian Point nuclear reactors are located within 50 miles of 20 million people. These plants pose a range of serious threats, from their vulnerability to a terrorist attack to grave environmental risks.”
